AI statement
Applied artificial intelligence is one of the disciplines Ryse works in, and it is also present in how we do the work. This statement sets out how we use it and what we will not do with it.
In the software we build
Where a system uses machine learning or a language model, we treat that component like any other part of the software: its inputs and outputs are logged, its failure modes are designed for, and there is a defined path for a person to review or override a decision that matters. A model is never the only thing standing between a business and an irreversible action.
In our own work
We use AI-assisted tools in engineering and in the production of documentation and content. A person is responsible for everything that leaves us: assisted output is reviewed, tested and owned by the engineer who ships it, exactly as if it had been written by hand.
Client data and training
We do not use a client's data, code or confidential material to train models for anyone else, and we do not feed it to third-party services outside the scope agreed for the work. Where a model is trained or tuned for a client, the result belongs to that project.
Limits we hold to
We do not build systems designed to deceive people about whether they are dealing with a machine, to identify or profile individuals without a lawful basis, or to take consequential decisions about a person without a route to human review. If a request falls outside those limits, we say so rather than build it.
This website
This site itself runs no artificial intelligence: there is no chatbot, no recommendation engine and no automated decision-making behind any page or form on it.
